Cobain and Grohl unreleased unplugged online!

Today, for the 26th anniversary, was posted on YouTube an unreleased bootleg with 3 of the 5 songs Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl played on 1st December 1991 in Edinburgh at Southern Bar. The two Nirvanas showed up there for a benefit event to raise money for the local Sick Kids Hospital. In that occasion they’re booked as Teen Spirit and it is said they played the Shonen Knife’s cover Twist BarbieDumbPolly, The Vaselines cover Jesus (Don’t) Wants Me For A Sunbeam and an unknown song. In those months Nevermind was changing the world and in those days they were on tour in the U.K. supported by Shonen Knife and Captain America (the band of The Vaseline’s Eugene Kelly). The show had been organized by the Scottish band The Joyriders, Cobain and Grohl were billed as “Very special guests”. To see the performance you had to donate 1 ₤ at the door.

Would you like to listen Dumb, Polly and a part of Jesus? Okay!
